Jim Courrier, III
Jim Courrier joined First Bankers’ Banc Securities, Inc. in 2010 as an Assistant Vice President. He was promoted to Vice President in October 2020. He works closely with financial institutions, trust companies and wealth managers throughout the Midwest to appropriately structure their investments to meet their income and liquidity needs, and continues to meet and assist new clients as well.
Jim’s career began in 1985 at Centerre Bank in Chesterfield, MO, in their teller department. He continued in this position after their merger with Boatmen’s Bank, until 1994. During this time, he was repeatedly rewarded for exceptional customer service. In 1994, Jim joined the accounting department of Citizens National Bank in Maplewood, MO, where he performed several of the month-end and year-end tasks. After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Missouri – St. Louis, he joined Baird, Kurtz and Dobson, CPAs (now BKD, LLP) as a financial statement auditor with an emphasis on the banking industry, giving him the opportunity to analyze the operations of numerous community banks throughout the Midwest and suggest improvements to their directors.
Jim then joined MPP&W, PC CPAs, where he progressed to the level of Senior Tax Advisor and was responsible for supervising six staff members.
In the past, Jim was the treasurer of Metropolis St. Louis, a local non-profit organization, and has been a member of the Missouri Society of CPAs.
